Yeah I’d rather try to mission and have a fresh start, than decline and definitely be terminated. I’d miss my kids terribly though 😦

I wonder, did you (as in, the person the narrator is speaking to) take the gamble? A fresh start is a tempting prize.

At first thought I’d definitely take the mission. But then I wonder – what are the consequences of the fresh start? Is it a mind erase so you don’t recall people and experiences from your past? Or is it more like witness protection where you will always remember everyone and everything you left behind? Suddenly the fresh start isn’t as tempting … maybe still more appealing than certain death, but not something I’d jump into willingly.

I think if I got this message I would be terrified. BUT if it’s their final mission they must have been expecting it. I’d love to read more about this story! 🙂

Thank you 🙂 When I was writing it my feeling was that the protagonist has had to go through a whole series of challenges – each more difficult than the next. I’m thinking that right from the start they didn’t have a choice – it was either do or die. It certainly got me thinking about a whole storyline!

That is a bit terrifying…fail and your done. Loved your take on the prompt. I though it was a lot of fun. Would have love to read more and see this developed into a bigger story. It made me want to know what’s next!

Thank you so much for your kind comments, I had a lot of fun writing it. And I am considering turning it into a full story one day if I get time. I’ve got lots of ideas for where it starts and where it would go.
